Selborne is a Transformational Training programme with a strategic goal of modernising Royal Navy training to deliver better trained sailors to the front line faster.
You will provide Maths tuition to ensure that individuals achieve the educational attainment necessary to commence or complete their Royal Navy training and achieve the necessary educational qualifications for promotion.
Job Description
What you’ll be doing:
* Delivering Functional Skills and Education for Promotion maths tuition.
* Providing maths tuition up to Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) Level 3 to prepare Service Personnel with the mathematics skills necessary to complete relevant career courses.
* Conducting initial and diagnostic assessments as required, reviewing the results to put in place an appropriate individual learning plan for learners.
* Invigilating examinations.
* Participating fully as required in teaching and learning observations, inspections, and visits from professional and awarding bodies.
What we’re looking for:
* Must have teaching experience in GCSE maths.
* Ideally have Level 3 or above Teaching Qualification or willing to work towards with our support.
* Must have Level 3 or above qualification in maths.
* Willingness to work towards further qualifications.
* Experience in supporting learners using remote tutoring skills would be an advantage.
* Must be able to obtain UK SC clearance.
