Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Medical Writer with 1-2 years of experience in medical communications, specifically focusing on publications (manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and presentations). The ideal candidate will have a strong scientific background and excellent writing skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. This role is fully remote and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality, peer-reviewed scientific publications.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop clear, concise, and accurate scientific content for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and oral presentations in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Conduct literature searches and interpret clinical and scientific data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of content.
* Adhere to Good Publication Practice (GPP) guidelines and industry standards for scientific publications.
* Work closely with medical and scientific experts, authors, and clients to ensure content aligns with strategic objectives.
* Manage multiple publication projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and quality expectations.
* Ensure compliance with ICMJE and journal-specific guidelines during the manuscript submission process.
* Collaborate with editors, designers, and project managers to produce visually compelling and scientifically robust materials.
* Revise and edit documents based on feedback from internal and external reviewers.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Master’s or PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related field.
* 1-2 years of experience in medical writing within a medical communications agency or pharmaceutical environment, with a strong focus on publications.
* Familiarity with publication planning, peer-reviewed journals, and congress submission processes.
* Strong understanding of clinical research and ability to interpret complex scientific data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and reference management software (e.g., EndNote, Zotero).
* Knowledge of Good Publication Practice (GPP), ICMJE, and industry regulations.
Preferred Experience:
* Prior experience working on manuscripts, abstracts, and posters for peer-reviewed journals or medical conferences.
* Experience collaborating with authors, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and pharmaceutical clients.
* Familiarity with publication management tools (e.g., Datavision, PubStrat) is a plus.
