Are you an instructional designer, skilled in helping academic staff to design and develop learning materials and resources to support effective face-to-face, online and blended delivery of teaching? We currently have an opportunity to join our friendly Technology Enhanced Learning Team (TEL) in The Centre for Learning and Teaching (CLT). You will join a team of three other Instructional Designers who work closely with our Learning Technologists to support academic colleagues to embed blended teaching and learning into the curriculum in a sustainable and ongoing way. You will work closely with a nominated Faculty or School but also across the University to support a wide range of academic and professional services colleagues. Our ideal applicant will possess Excellent digital skills, ideally including a knowledge of university systems and processes Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and ability to communicate confidently with different types of stakeholders Experience in supporting staff in learning and teaching at University level Knowledge of appropriate inclusive learning design approaches and digital pedagogies to support learning, teaching and assessment An interest in upskilling and rising to the challenges that new tools and technologies, including generative AI, introduce. Our team will provide you with any training necessary to fully understand the institutional technologies available at the University of Bath which are used to support learning, teaching and assessment. We will also provide support and guidance as you work closely with academic staff to provide pedagogic and practical advice on the Bath approach to blended teaching. Further information This is a full-time role (36.5 hours per week - 1.0 FTE) available from September 2024 available initially on a fixed-term basis for one year.
