KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· To provide excellent welcome and customer care to all visitors with an enthusiastic attitude.
· Actively promote a positive and collaborative workplace culture that supports the Charity’s purpose of Making Life Better and i-care values to increase morale, productivity and performance.
· To actively encourage visitors to make donations, complete gift aid forms and to sell guidebooks.
· Work on a rota basis within the reception, shop, sweetie shop and cleaning roles, including regular weekend and bank holiday working.
· Be responsible for opening and closing the areas of the museum as appropriate, always keeping an awareness of security and safety of personnel. Keep all areas clean.
· Ensure all banking and cash handling requirements are met accurately and adhere to security and cash handling procedures.
· Comply with all statutory legislation with regards to Health & Safety & Liquor Licensing.
· Encourage secondary spend in retail shops
· Process deliveries for shop/s; monitor stock levels and merchandising, observing stock expiration dates and good stock rotation practices.
· Interpret the 1930s in costume in the Sweetie Shop.
· Work as a member of the wider museum team.
· Ensure the museum environment is cared for – buildings, artefacts, and areas are kept clean and tidy.
· Ensure that all activities are carried out safely and in line with High Life Highland’s Health & Safety policies.
· To observe High Life Highland’s policies and procedures
