As an Assistant Manager, you’ll be an influential and trusted member of our management team, role modelling excellent customer service and store standards, positively engaging colleagues, and maximising store performance.
We have an exciting opportunity for a flexible, forward-thinking individual to join the team as an Assistant Manager at our SPAR store on a full-time 40-hour contract to cover various shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
The Role:
1. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and ensuring that our customers find everything they need.
2. When not busy serving our customers, you will be required to make sure the store always looks its best and support with deliveries to replenish stock.
3. You will be required to comply with all legislative requirements as well as all Company policies, procedures, and processes. This will include health and safety, food handling, and age-restricted sales.
Applicant Requirements:
The successful candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and have proven management experience within the retail industry. You should have excellent customer service and communication skills and be able to build trusted relationships with colleagues and customers. A positive attitude is key to leading a team and achieving results with the ability to inspire others in line with our leadership behaviours. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise your workload are a must. You will be resilient and have excellent problem-solving skills. You may also be required to successfully complete a Post Office P250 security screening (where applicable).
