Protecnium (protecnium.com/en) is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services for construction. We are currently seeking an MEP Site Agent for the Heathrow Airport Project in London, UK.
Estimated duration: 36-48 months, with the possibility of extension depending on the progress of the project. Generally, at the end of a project, efforts are made to move the employee to other projects for continuity.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (or 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) with a 30-minute break.
About the Role
The MEP Site Agent will be responsible for managing the construction site to ensure project delivery aligns with the client's objectives while maintaining high standards in health and safety, quality, environmental impact, and cost control. The role involves overseeing multiple ongoing projects, ensuring they meet the required quality standards, timelines, and maximize commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Maximize the commercial performance of the contract by ensuring cost efficiency and value engineering.
* Take responsibility for the successful delivery of projects, including compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Ensure production and implementation of Project Plans and management procedures.
* Manage and coordinate site resources, including procurement and supplier relationships.
* Act as the interface with clients and manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
* Maintain accurate and detailed site records, ensuring compliance with documentation standards.
* Produce accurate monthly reports for both clients and internal use.
* Chair weekly site meetings in line with company procedures.
Requirements
* Degree or master's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (other engineering degrees will be considered).
* Minimum of 5 years of experience at management engineering level in construction, particularly in MEP packages and/or utilities.
* Certifications: CSCS Card Level - Academically or Professionally Qualified Person.
* Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
* Excellent people management skills and experience managing subcontractors.
* Advanced communication skills for managing stakeholder relationships.
* Extensive knowledge of MEP technology and construction site management.
Skills and Competencies
* Experience working in airport or critical area projects.
* Membership in relevant MEP engineering institutions.
* Experience working in international organizations.
* Experience managing key stakeholders beyond the client.
