Main duties of the job
To prioritise workload appropriately and in accordance with Practice, local and national guidelines. General administration duties. QOF management and recall in line with meeting targets for patient care. Awareness of IIF targets and LIS. Submissions in CQRS for monthly/quarterly claims. Ad hoc searches for audit purpose when requested. IT problem solving and leading on implementation of any new IT projects. Organisation/involvement of the annual Influenza campaign. Manage staff mandatory training requirements, keeping training log up to date. PPA and stock check. Maintaining the staff holiday planner including reviewing requests. Organising and attending meetings such as GSF ensuring any minutes or updates to the GSF spreadsheet are maintained. Sending text messages to patients using the Accurx messaging system. Reviewing and updating the Practice website to ensure information is accurate and up to date. Workflow and document management including scanning and coding medical information. Processing Subject Access Request's and Insurance reports. Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of General Practice. Knowledge Skills and Experience: High standard of IT skills, including knowledge of clinical systems, SystemOne. Previous NHS experience. Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications. A good knowledge of Medical Terminology. Sound knowledge of key areas of new GMS contract, IIF and LIS. Ability to give attention to detail and follow protocol to ensure accuracy is maintained to a high standard. Ability to work on own initiative, to recognise confidentiality and sensitivity of issues and to handle accordingly. Good interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of the Practice team.
Key Result Areas: Demonstrate time management and priority setting between all aspects of work. Contribute to the changing needs of the Practice.
