Summary of Functions
To conduct process control with all chemical solutions, sample collection/analysis, react to process shifts, trend analysis, and documentation. To be a self-sufficient department, operating as a ‘materials laboratory’. Processing sample parts/NPI or first off when required.
This Role Will Include
* Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
* Stock control of chemicals.
* pH control and chemical analysis.
* Producing and conducting tests on test panels.
* Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray, and Coating Weight.
* Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur.
* Support production/quality issues.
* Writing reports on findings.
* Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous Improvement, and 5S, REACH compliance.
* Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and company Health and Safety policy and requirements.
Skills and Experience Required
* Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided).
* Aerospace/plating experience (preferable but not required).
* English, Science, and Math GCSE, or equivalent.
* Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
* Well-rounded interpersonal and communication skills.

40.5 hours per week
Monday to Thursday 07:30 am until 5:00 pm & Fridays 07:30 am until 12:00 pm
