We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Midwife to join our highly motivated Midwifery team in Glangwili Maternity Services, Carmarthen. With 2600 births per year we are a team who are enthusiastic, motivated and enabled to deliver high quality maternity care to women and their families.

Main duties of the job
Our maternity service is continually changing and evolving to meet the needs of the population and ensure women and their families have a positive birthing experience. We are a very friendly and supportive team who welcome innovative ways of working and new ideas. You will be joining our team at a pivotal time within the service with a new labour ward, with seven birthing rooms and six bedded Enhanced Monitoring Unit opening this summer within Glangwili Maternity.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Registered Midwife with full NMC Registration
* Portfolio of CPD
* Completed an approved preceptorship programme
Experience
* Experience of mentoring and developing staff
* Basic IT Skills
* Able to deliver a high standard of evidence based individual client care
* Effective communicator with good leadership and interpersonal skills
* Evidence of ability to take charge in the absence of their direct line manager
* Demonstrate midwifery skills underpinned by current evidence
* Demonstrate an awareness of the importance of audit and policy
