Key Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our engineering team, you will:
* Carry out design activities across equipment, system, and software levels.
* Ensure technical requirements are met from initial design to customer acceptance.
* Develop and review project documentation including test plans, specifications, and procedures.
* Conduct system testing and qualification activities throughout project phases.
* Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities.
* Contribute to customer-facing design reviews and acceptance events, both on-site and off-site.
* Support the safety, reliability, and long-term maintenance of products.
* Collaborate on technical proposals to support business development.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
* Contribute to internal R&D initiatives, enhancing quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Essential Skills:
* Full UK driving licence.
* Track record of delivering complex system design, implementation, test and integration in the Defence (or similar, highly regulated) domain.
* Experience of full system lifecycle, design, development, testing, integration and acceptance.
* The ability to analyse and specify system acceptance requirements.
* Understanding of network technologies.
* Appreciation of complex electronics and firmware design principles.
* Strong technical knowledge of military-grade COTS communication and sensor systems.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience of agile or spiral development lifecycles.
* Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering.
* Experience of Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
* Appreciation of modern software design techniques and languages (e.g. C++, Java, C#) (desirable).

Working pattern:
Flexible working, 5 days on site per week. They operate around the core working hours of 09:30-12:00 & 14:00-16:00.

Due to the nature of this projects, successful Systems Engineer must have the ability to obtain SC and/or DV Clearence and be sole British national
