Director Supply Chain

Position Summary:

The Supply Chain function is responsible for all materials, production planning, inventory control, and customer service functions at Catalent, Swindon. The position is responsible for overseeing all activities and personnel within the Supply Chain function providing leadership for customer services, logistics, planning, and Material Management.
The Role:
* Develop and execute Supply Chain strategy aligned with Business and Operations Strategy.
* Work closely with Commercial operations to develop Commercial supply agreements, ensuring the highest level of service and On Time Delivery to Customers.
* Intervene and resolve current/upcoming servicing issues through strong cross-functional S&OP process.
* Manage the logistics and planning function to ensure optimal processing of customer orders.
* Ensure project management disciplines are followed to deliver ‘quick to market’ launches for new products.
* Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, cost, and efficiency throughout the Supply Chain.
* Reduce site commercial spending by utilizing the purchasing function to drive cost improvements on capex, raw materials, and supply chain initiatives.
* Other duties as assigned.
The Candidate:
* The ideal candidate must demonstrate a successful track record of managing in a complex, highly regulated industry in a customer-focused manufacturing environment.
* Experienced in providing strategic and operational leadership in a customer-driven planning and logistics environment.
* Has the ability to develop long-term customer relationships at an international level across different cultures.
* Of degree intellect but not necessarily established through academic qualifications.
* The candidate would ideally have received professional training in planning, logistics, S&OP processes (e.g., presentation skills, negotiation skills, etc.).
