Desktop Support Engineer Rate: Up to £17.50 p/h based on experience Temp - minimum 3 months Exeter Sellick Partnership is delighted to be recruiting a Desktop Support Engineer for an immediate start for an organisation based in Exeter on a temporary basis for a minimum of 3 months. Key requirements for the Desktop Support Engineer role will include: Experience providing technical support either internally or externally. Familiarity of working with/supporting smartphones, tablets, and PC's. Knowledge of working with a ticketing system (preferable) Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of internal and external customers. Ability to work under pressure handling multiple tasks to ensure timely completion of all activities Apply a logical approach to interpret data, make recommendations, and propose solutions. Key duties of the Desktop Support Engineer will include: Providing timely and effective 2nd line support to customers/users by investigating and resolving desktop, server and networking problems whilst meeting the required business SLAs Escalating incidents to other technical staff as appropriate Monitoring, receiving and responding to relevant Service Desk incidents and service requests Contribute to the administration, maintenance and development of IT systems. Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the asset register. Required communication for the Desktop Support Engineer role: To have good communication skills and ability to liaise verbally confidently with employees and Management. To listen carefully to instructions. To keep your Manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines.
