Role Overview:
As an Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing sales in your designated region. You will identify and pursue new business opportunities while nurturing relationships with existing customers. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role offers a combination of office-based planning and field-based client interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a regional sales strategy to achieve sales targets and increase market share in the garage equipment and tools sector.
2. Manage and expand relationships with both new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
3. Conduct regular field visits to meet with clients, understand their needs, and present tailored solutions.
4. Provide product demonstrations and training to customers as needed, showcasing the benefits and features of our equipment and tools.
5. Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities within the region, including potential accounts and untapped market segments.
6. Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align strategies and ensure effective product positioning.
7. Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and proposals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer records.
8. Stay current on industry trends, customer demands, and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Requirements:
1. Proven experience in field sales, preferably within the garage equipment, automotive, or tools industries.
2. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage clients at all levels.
3. A self-starter with excellent organizational skills, able to manage your time effectively and work independently.
4. A solutions-oriented approach to sales with a focus on delivering value to customers.
5. Ability to conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions in a clear, engaging manner.
6. Full driving license and the ability to travel regularly within your assigned area.
7. A genuine interest in the automotive and garage equipment sectors is a plus.
