As a Butchery Supervisor your primary focus will be to:
* Ensure that all butchery work is carried out to the required standards of quality and value.
* Offer an excellent level of customer engagement through offering advice, recommendations and assistance.
* Maintain the highest standards of hygiene within the store.
* Support and work effectively with your colleagues.
* Continually work in a sales driven manner to achieve targets.
* Drive the team to develop in-store knowledge, skills and confidence and process.
* Support the store manager and Store Supervisor.
Key Accountabilities
* Preparing different cuts of meat in line with customer and company requirements.
* Providing advice and training to other staff on butchery activities.
* Greeting and serving customers.
* Preparing counter.
* Assisting customers with their purchases and providing product knowledge.
* Preparation of counter and pre-pack areas.
* Product sampling.
* Stock rotation.
* Receiving deliveries and completing paperwork required.
* Special offer material distribution.
* General cleaning.
* Supporting management function.
Skills and Experience Required
* Proven butchery skills gained in a retail or manufacturing environment.
* Previous experience of supervising others would be advantageous.
* Good knowledge of food safety and legal requirements.
* Proven customer service excellence.
* Determination to drive sales.
* IT literacy.
* Capability to motivate and guide team daily.
* Ability to support store manager when not on site and act in a professional manner.
