Health and Safety Officer Needed for a Permanent Role in Scarborough, UK

Located in the picturesque town of Scarborough, this Health and Safety Officer role not only offers professional challenges but also a wonderful environment to enhance and develop your career.
Specifically, the Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for the Health and Safety of all employees, customers, contractors, and suppliers visiting this large manufacturing site, with responsibility for site performance and compliance against legislation/directives.
Main Responsibilities of Health and Safety Officer:
1. Lead the daily & weekly safety audit as well as risk assessment when request is raised
2. Maintain and develop the contingency plan in case of emergency situation
3. Deploy & pilot the occupational risk assessment & site impact assessment
4. Work with the SHE leader to propose targets, action plans & resources.
5. Ensure the existence of Safety control measures for all activities
6. Ensure the efficiency of the safety walk process at plant management level
7. Maintain the management system for Health & Safety & Environment & Energy (ISO standards 45001, 14001 etc.)
8. Lead the H&S committee at the site & coordinate the teams
9. Provide training to staff at all levels within the plant
Qualifications Required for Health and Safety Officer Role:
1. Formal H&S qualification NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
2. Previous HSE / Health & Safety experience within an Engineering, Manufacturing, Production, Assembly or Construction-type environment
