Job Description
As our Nuclear Team in Warrington continues to grow, we are looking for dynamic EC&I Engineers with a strong track record in regulated and quality-assured systems. This presents an excellent opportunity to advance your career with a leading industry player, offering a compelling and expanding portfolio of projects.
You will become an integral part of a diverse and exciting team, contributing significantly to project management and delivery. Working closely with AECOM's talented engineering team, you will provide expert leadership and technical oversight in nuclear EC&I engineering. You will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) systems within nuclear facilities. Your expertise will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safety of nuclear processes and infrastructure.
Here’s what you’ll do:
* Lead the design and engineering of EC&I systems for nuclear projects, adhering to regulatory standards and project requirements.
* Develop detailed specifications, drawings, and technical documentation for EC&I systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
* Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate EC&I solutions seamlessly within overall project frameworks.
* Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and impact analyses to support decision-making processes.
* Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively to achieve project milestones and objectives.
* Participate in the commissioning, testing, and validation of EC&I systems, ensuring functionality and performance meet operational needs.
* Interface with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to facilitate project approvals and compliance.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent Qualifications / Experience.
* Proven track record in the delivery of Electrical Projects.
* Experience in the nuclear industry or other highly regulated industry.
* Demonstrate sound technical knowledge and leadership experience.
* An appreciation of mechanical / civil and process systems and an aptitude to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
Advantageous Experience/Knowledge:
* Low Voltage Electrical Distribution design.
* Control System design.
* Building Services & Management system design.
* Earthing & Lightning design.
* A working knowledge of BS7671.
* Knowledge of safety standards (IEC 61508, 61511, 61513).
* Knowledge of Functional Safety and Reliability and associated topics.
* Project management skills.
You will also be self-motivated with an ability to work both autonomously where required, with a strong sense of commitment, a willingness to learn and a desire to work in a dynamic deadline driven team environment.
