The role...
The Royalty team is now seeking an Automation Payments Manager on a permanent basis. As the Royalty Payments Manager, you will manage a team of 3 Royalty Automation Assistants to ensure that all automated royalty statements are issued and paid accurately and on time, in line with ITV's contractual obligations.
Some of your key day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Manage the allocation of work across the team and oversee day-to-day royalty processing, ensuring contractual deadlines are met.
2. Review all aspects of statement distribution.
3. Create and drive the team strategy plan with targets.
4. Effectively coach, train, develop and motivate the team.
5. Promote an 'always learning' culture, encouraging career conversations.
6. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
7. Deliver, analyse and improve performance service levels.
8. Work closely with the Head of Third Party Manager and GPO to identify continuous improvement initiatives.
9. Support the continuation of the current system/s and implementation of new technologies and system changes.
10. Recognise and communicate any risks and issues to the Head of Third Party and GPO.
11. Engage the team in ITV-wide initiatives including those linked to social purpose and diversity and inclusion.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)...
1. Must have working experience in a transactional service centre environment.
2. Must have people management experience proven to drive staff development.
3. Extensive experience and understanding of end to end financial processes.
Other things we're looking for (key criteria)...
1. Knowledge and understanding of royalty processes (but not essential).
2. Ability to set clear expectations of what an outstanding versus a good result looks like to encourage stretch.
3. Motivated by a desire to improve performance, services and outcomes.
4. Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ease to organise and prioritise.
5. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
6. Ability to review processes and implement change.
7. Willingness and ability to create a 'test and learn fast' environment for the team to address change.
8. Working knowledge of the OMIPM system is desirable.
