EPUT is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Consultant Community Paediatrician in Neuro-Disability and Clinical Director to join our Community Specialist Children’s Health services based at Lighthouse Child Development service, Southend-on-Sea. This is an ideal opportunity for a driven Paediatrician to complement our team of supportive and experienced community Paediatricians in improving the health and well-being of children, young people and families in Southend-On-Sea and Essex. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide assessment and case management of children and young people with complex neuro-disability and special needs and participate in the diagnosis and management of children with a range of neurodevelopmental difficulties including ASD and ADHD. The post holder will be expected to support the overall delivery of the local service plan, through active leadership of the clinical agenda, supporting and driving service planning and change and work alongside a team of Paediatrics Community nurses who work very closely with both Community and Acute colleagues providing a ‘Hospital at Home Service’. This post is part of the triumvirate leadership of the Service, alongside the Service Operational Director. You will be on the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at the time of interview.
