We are currently recruiting for supply teachers to work across EYFS – KS2 in the Bodmin area. You will need to have a vast knowledge of the Primary curriculum. It is important that you can build positive relationships quickly and that you have excellent behaviour management skills within the classroom. If it is a longer term booking you will be responsible for planning the class lessons and organising their day. It is important that you communicate with the teaching assistants within the class so you can monitor each students learning and plan additional work for students on particular topics they are struggling with. You will need to organise the day and make plans alongside the teaching assistants, so they know if they are helping the whole class, working in small groups or on a 1:1 basis. You will be responsible for the safeguarding of the students in your class, so it is important that you have excellent safeguarding knowledge. You will be required to communicate with the headteacher, SENCO, other teachers and parents / carers about the students’ progress and create plans if there are any additional needs. We can offer you flexibility on days and hours, all we require is that you are available a minimum of two days a week. You will receive weekly and competitive pay through PAYE. We have both Full Time and Part time for both long-term and short-term vacancies at the moment and we envisage that we are going to get even busier after the Easter holidays.
