The role…
At GlobalData, our IT systems are essential in driving the solutions that serve consumers worldwide. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Junior Support professional to join our team.
In this role, you will manage IT systems and assets, assist with system upgrades and issue resolution, and provide training and support as needed. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of computer hardware and software, along with a basic understanding of networks.
Reporting to the IT Manager, you will be responsible for effectively managing your time and resources to meet service-level agreements and support local operational tasks. This role offers an exciting blend of customer-facing and remote support responsibilities.
While prior experience as an IT junior is not required, you should have a strong interest in IT, a willingness to learn new skills, and the ability to manage a high volume of support requests.
Role requirements:
1. Excellent communication and people skills
2. Providing IT assistance to staff and customers
3. Resolving logged helpdesk requests in a timely manner
4. Microsoft Office 365
5. Understanding of Active Directory/Exchange
6. Understanding Windows OS & Mac OS
7. Hardware Installation & Troubleshooting
Person skills:
1. Self-motivated and proactive
2. Monitoring trends and providing pro-active solutions to common problems
3. Excellent time keeping and attendance
4. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
5. Keeping abreast of technological developments in the technical services and products offered to ensure support offerings can be made
6. Travel within the UK which may necessitate own/public transport. Flexibility to support other sites when required
