As part of our waste and recycling team, you’ll be out and about every day, ensuring waste is collected, sorted, and managed properly. You'll work as part of a friendly team, collecting household, business, and other waste and recycling across the area. You'll help with sorting materials for recycling, making a real difference to the environment. You’ll also interact with the public in a professional and helpful way, answering questions and resolving any concerns. Safety is a priority—you’ll follow health and safety rules carefully and assist drivers in moving vehicles safely. About you: You enjoy working outdoors and don’t mind getting stuck in. You're comfortable lifting and moving items and have a positive, team-focused attitude. If you like speaking with people and solving problems, that's a bonus. No previous experience is needed—just a willingness to learn. Further Information The post holder will be responsible for the PPE as supplied and will assist with the routine checks and cleaning of vehicles. This is an outdoor-based role. Exposure to all weather conditions, traffic conditions, and hazards connected to exposure to dirt, dust, and noise. Will involve the handling of chemicals and contact with unknown substances and materials. Contact with the public with a risk of challenge or abusive behaviour.
