About Saward Dawson
Saward Dawson embraces a culture of professionalism, generosity and community focus. At Saward Dawson, we are genuine in the pursuit of the highest standards in professionalism and corporate ethics. We are large enough to provide our clients with an extensive range of services enabling our staff to experience a breadth of disciplines available in the chartered accountancy profession. However, we are still small enough to care for staff on a personal level.
The Program
Graduates are provided with regular intensive training sessions covering areas such as Audit, Business Services, Tax, personal development and current topical issues. This involves fortnightly general training, monthly intensive training and specific, in depth tax training every second month. To promote the personal development of our staff, we encourage graduates to contribute to our training program by giving them the opportunity to research and present special interest topics to other staff.
Graduates are given the opportunity to serve clients at an early stage and will be assigned a division and team to work with. Initial assignments may include tasks such as auditing, tax return preparation and client accounting. Supervised client contact will commence almost immediately, giving you the opportunity to improve and expand your interpersonal skills.
You will work our normal office hours, five days a week and have the opportunity to get involved in many of the activities required to become a Chartered Accountant.
Exposure across the firm
To ensure that you will have the chance to develop all the professional competencies necessary to become a proficient Chartered Accountant, we will try to give you exposure to several of the technical areas in our practice. However, staff who have a desire to specialise in a particular discipline are encouraged in that area. We will endeavour to support you in your career goal to be a Chartered Accountant at Saward Dawson.
We assist many different organisations from sole traders to international entities and many charities. You too may have the opportunity to work on a variety of clients as you gain more exposure across the firm.
