Job Purpose:
1. To assist on operations on air and road freight whilst maintaining relationships.
2. To be the one point of contact for our clients, with a complete 360 responsibility of quoting and managing our client’s shipments and expectations.
3. Building relationships with both customers, airlines, handling agents and hauliers will be key to being a successful account manager.
4. You will be working within a vibrant and highly innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage your client’s shipment operation from inception through to completion, including quoting, booking jobs, booking flights, monitoring, booking collection/deliveries and monitoring customs paperwork.
2. Maintain service expectations of existing accounts.
3. Select appropriate airline/carrier/haulier as to maximise profits.
4. Work closely with Internal teams (notably accounts, customs and transport) to ensure the seamless movement of cargo from origin to destination.
5. Be aware of market trends to remain competitive.
6. Build and maintain relationships with clients, this may include site visits from time to time.
7. Upsell to existing customers to increase profit margins.
8. Hold regular catch up/teams calls with customers.
9. Manage your own portfolio of work.
10. Occasional weekend & OOO coverage required.
11. Will also be responsible for ensuring goods are cleared in a timely manner and, for road shipments, working closely with the customs Bureau team to ensure no delays.
