This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home, with full office attendance required at the start for training. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated professional to join the Compliance and Operational Risk team in London, as part of the Registrations and Licensing department (R&L). You will be responsible for Associate registrations across the UK, Ireland, and France regimes.
In this role, you will contribute to the independent oversight of Front Line Unit (FLU) and Control Function (CF) performance in alignment with the Compliance Risk Management Program. As an individual contributor, the Compliance and Operational Risk Analyst promotes a culture of compliance, identifying, escalating, and mitigating compliance risks in a timely manner. You will work closely with a wide range of Associates across Global Markets and Global Banking, as well as support functions such as Human Resources.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Assist the team with operational aspects of registrations work, ensuring appropriate due diligence has been conducted prior to certification.
2. Assist with weekly rota tasks such as terminations, monitoring, and reporting.
3. Promote a culture of compliance and identify, escalate, and mitigate compliance and operational risks.
Core Skills:
1. A background in a similar role, ideally within the financial sector.
2. Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work with all levels within the organization and with external regulators.
3. Ability to multitask and complete a high volume of transactions within specific deadlines.
4. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential material appropriately.
5. Excellent analytical skills to analyze documents for accuracy and risk.
6. Independent and capable of performing functions with minimal direction.
7. Proficient in Windows applications.
8. Keen problem solver who can handle multiple projects.
9. Excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills.
10. Possess a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude.
11. Some knowledge of the UK Certification Regime or the Irish Fitness and Probity regime is desirable.
