Responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the St. Albans site in order to ensure maximum productivity of the sites across all planned services. To lead and support delivery of effective site management ensuring that the Divisions are supported in the successful day to day management of patient flow. To act as the senior first point of contact for the CQC or other regulators as appropriate and for escalation of site-specific issues. To develop partnership working with support services including estates, facilities and IT to ensure the hospital is functioning optimally for staff and patients and maximising space utilisation. To be responsible for the timely resolution of non-clinical incidences in collaboration with key departments. To be responsible for the resolution of unexpected and short notice staffing issues that jeopardise the delivery of planned services including working with wards and services to identify staff for reallocation. Taking final decision on short notice reallocation of site resources. Being a senior point of contact for escalation of site-specific issues. To be responsible for the resolution of non-clinical operational issues e.g. issues with patient transport etc. To develop effective and responsive working relationships with Divisional Directors and Divisional Managers and their teams. To manage potentially highly sensitive and contentious communication and information issues where the highest level of tact and sensitivity are required when communicating unpopular, controversial and emotive information. Develop and maintain monitoring and information systems, ensuring that these are in line with overall Trust systems. In conjunction with the Head of Operational Performance to ensure site specific operational capacity is sufficient to deliver RTT standards. Support the escalation process designed to reduce last minute on the day cancellation of surgery by acting as the site point of contact.
