KS1 Lead Teacher Responsibilities Lead and inspire the KS1 team, setting high standards for teaching and learning. Plan, implement, and oversee the KS1 curriculum, ensuring it is engaging, effective, and inclusive for all students. Monitor student progress across KS1, ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. Provide leadership in the development of teaching strategies, sharing best practices, and driving continuous improvement across KS1. Lead staff training and professional development within KS1, fostering a culture of collaboration and growth. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and supported. Regularly communicate with parents and guardians, sharing progress updates and working together to support children’s development. Be an active part of the school leadership team, contributing to school-wide planning, initiatives, and development. Lead school-wide initiatives related to KS1, playing a vital role in the school’s growth and improvement. KS1 Lead Teacher Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching in KS1, with a proven track record of improving student outcomes. Previous leadership experience or the ability to lead a team effectively is highly desirable. Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS1 and knowledge of effective assessment practices. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and support staff and students alike. A passion for developing young learners and creating an environment where they can thrive.
