Academics are currently looking for enthusiastic Humanities Teachers for a variety of supply opportunities within their partnership secondary schools and academies within the Cheshire East & West.
We are currently welcoming applications from Humanities Teachers with specialisms in History, Geography, Religious Education (RE) and PSHE.
Whether it is a long term contract or more flexible day-to-day cover; we focus the job search around you and look to provide you with the type of work you are looking for. Our supply opportunities are great as they allow our teachers to be flexible with the days that they wish to work. These roles can be ideal for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as they could potentially lead to more long-term and permanent roles in some of our schools.
Humanities Teachers who apply must:
1. Hold the relevant Humanities qualification (PGCE, B. Ed or BSC Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
2. Be able to deliver exciting and engaging lessons using your own creativity and initiative.
3. Be a confident motivator in the classroom, and can build excellent rapport with students and staff.
4. Have excellent practical knowledge of the national curriculum and to have a proven track record of working with students in KS3/KS4. KS5 experience would also be desirable, but not essential for our supply opportunities.
5. Hold a current Enhanced DBS that is registered with the Update Service, or to be prepared to apply for a new Enhanced DBS with ourselves (cost applied).
Please be aware that your daily rate will be dependent upon experience, prior qualifications, the supply requirement (short or long term) and the client rate that is currently available.
If you are a Humanities Teacher who is interested in registering with Academics please click the 'APPLY NOW' button below to submit your most up to date CV for immediate review.
We are dedicated to safer recruitment, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We do expect every candidate to share this commitment. Work assignments are subject to safeguarding and child protection screening in line with DfE polices, including right to work, recent employment references and enhanced DBS checks.
