We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our finance team on a part time basis. The team ensure that income is accurately and completely posted to the company’s finance and housing management systems. We are looking for someone to positively contribute and participate in the development and improvement of services provided by the operational finance team. What you’ll be doing As a financial operations officer, you’ll be responsible for the process of all payments received and ensuring that these are allocated to accounts. You’ll also raise and despatch debtor invoices as required in accordance with agreed procedures and respond to customer requests to make payments. You’ll also provide credit control service cover for supervisors including collection of all debts and customer payments, maintain contact with customers to ensure invoices are paid and resolving any outstanding invoice queries with both internal and external customers. With a focus on excellent customer service, you’ll look after all incoming correspondence to the department. About you You need to be educated to GCSE level with grade C/level 5 passes in both English and Maths. AAT is desired but not essential. You will have experience of working in a processing/transactional team with experience of working with computerised accounts systems. You’ll also be a proficient user of the Microsoft Office suite. You’ll need to be an effective communicator, establishing and building relationships across the business to enable collaborative working where applicable. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, so you’ll need to be able to juggle conflicting priorities and juggle a demanding workload whilst retaining a good eye for detail. You will need to be a good team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude, as well as being a proactive, forward thinker with a flexible approach to hours worked.
