About the Job
Salary: £24,790 - £25,138
Working Pattern: Full Time 37 hours (Monday - Friday)
Contract Length: Permanent
Location: Burnside Day Opportunity Hub, Burgess Hill

About Burnside Day Opportunity Hub
Burnside’s day opportunity hub is all on the ground floor. It has a large garden, with accessible pathways linking a small outdoor gym, covered outside seating, and plenty of shaded spots for the summer months.
The hub has a variety of identifiable, focused areas, including:
• Accessible training kitchen
• Sensory/relaxation spaces
• Art and craft studio
• Garden studio
• Computer suite
• Dedicated spaces for drama,
dance and fitness
About You
To become a Support Worker with us you will be:
1. Passionate about supporting people to be the best they can be.
2. Bring a passion, or skill to the team that you can spark some excitement with the people we care for it can be anything at all from baking, to bird watching, to crafting. We are always looking to inspire people & would love to see what you could bring to the team.
3. Supporting people to have the opportunities to learn and grow.

Qualifications / experience
8. Adult Care Worker – Level 2 or equivalent is desirable. If you do not have this qualification it is expected that you will begin this immediately after your 6-month probationary period.
9. Basic literacy and numeracy skills in order to record and document activities.
10. Basic knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid and Fire procedures, Moving and Handling of people is also desirable.
11. UK full driving license – Desirable
