Hours: Full Time
Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. We'll just need your commitment to 35 hours across Mon-Fri (8.00am-6pm) and occasional weekends on a rota basis (ask us more about this later).
We’re looking for a vehicle mechanic/technician who can bring their skills and knowledge into the warmth of our offices whilst still focusing on keeping drivers mobile on the road!
About this opportunity
Consumer Lending is a key part of our Group and helps customers by providing cars, vans, caravans, and motorbikes and/or the finance for them under our Lex Autolease and Black Horse brands.
As a member of our Transport Customer Services Tech Team, you will be responsible for maintenance authorisation, inbound and outbound telephony, management of vehicle downtime, maintenance scheduling, and being the focal point for any customer technical queries.
The role would be ideal for candidates with experience of supporting customers in a vehicle maintenance environment.
Day to day, you’ll be:
1. Supporting customers with their vehicle maintenance queries, via a variety of communication channels.
2. Vetting repair work requests from our supplier network.
3. Building great relationships to minimise vehicle downtime whilst undergoing maintenance work.
What you’ll need to work as an expert in this area, which is highly regulated (i.e. O licence, PUWER and LOLER regulations):
1. Mechanical knowledge - previously worked as a vehicle technician or have 5 years motor trade knowledge as a minimum.
2. The ability to work well under pressure and manage competing demands.
3. An honest, hardworking and resilient approach to work.
4. Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork across the team to help optimise business results.
Ideally, we would like you to have qualifications such as City & Guilds 381 & 382 qualifications (or equivalent BTec) although this isn’t essential.
