**Job Title : Senior Buyer**
**Location: Malvern **
**Salary : £40,000 - £45,000 **
**Reporting To: Supply Chain Manager **
**General Role:** To determine the procurement needs of the organisation. Finding potential suppliers, negotiate prices and terms, and make agreements or contracts for purchases. This should be done in line with the companies values, balancing price and quality. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers and responsible for the management of the inventory.

**Main Responsibilities:**
Operations:
* Identify Procurement Needs: Determine the goods and services required by the organization, ensuring stock levels are in line with sales.
* Conduct Market Research: Research potential suppliers and compare their offerings.
* Negotiate Contracts: Secure advantageous terms and conditions with suppliers.
* Prepare and Process Orders: Handle requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
* Track and Report Metrics: Monitor key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
* Develop Procurement Strategies: Create strategies to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs.
* Manage Supplier Relationships: Maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
* Ensure Quality Standards: Verify that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
* Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with various departments to ensure clear documentation of requirements.
* Implement Risk Management: Address risks associated with supply contracts and agreements.
* Regulation Compliance: Collation and submission of data related to Plastic Tax and EPR.
Quality:
* Demonstrating the competent application of good practices required to consistently operate to high standards of quality and safety.
* Monitoring and recording quality and safety performance where applicable.
* Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programs.
