The Opportunity
We know for many QS graduates; it can be difficult to get a foot hold in the profession and the opportunity to turn theoretical knowledge into practical experience.
Some companies may shy away from the cost and the challenge of helping to shape and mold new Graduates in to stand alone surveyors, and as a result there are often few graduate opportunities available.
However, at Solomons we are passionate about providing opportunities for graduates to thrive. We invest both time and cost generously into ensuring continuous development for all our people. Not only because are committed to developing high performing teams, but also because we are committed to #payitforward, by creating career opportunities for talented, compassionate and engaged Quantity Surveyors, to take our profession to new heights. We also feel that instilling a culture of lifetime learning in our business, better enables us and our teams to champion a better future for the industry, adopting the principles of mutual trust and collaboration as advocated in the NEC4® suite of contracts.
We are now looking to bring in a number of Graduate Surveyors, with the enthusiasm, tenacity and curiosity to accelerate their careers, and to kick start their journey to practical, professional competence under the guidance our our dedicated mentoring and coaching team.
If you have practical experience – that's great, but if you are fresh from studying with a keenness to roll your sleeves up, get out on site and get cracking, we want to hear from you!
Our commitment to development
Founders, Dominic and Kerry Doig, started the business when they were still in their twenties, embarking on a learning curve was steep and challenging. That learning has been constant and evolving, it has never slowed and reflects the reality of our profession and the wider industry today. Our Board and leadership teams believe fully in our lifetime learning culture, and their collective experience is the reason we have committed to ‘powering up' our graduate offering, not just for new talent, but all talent!
Embedded in our mission, is a commitment to create a culture and approach which enables all our team to flourish and grow, sustainably and with enabling guidance and mentorship in this modern working era.
