A wonderful banking client of mine, based in the City of London, is looking for a senior C# Developer to join their well-established Quantitative Strategies team based in London. They are a great bunch of people led by a very decent person who has created something pretty special. The Role You’ll be working on the in-house risk management and trading system; defining the architecture, developing, and offering the appropriate support. The role requires strong C# along with an understanding of other languages such as C++, Python, VBA or Go. My client is expanding the business, so this is not about sitting around all day working on legacy systems. You will be making sure that their system can ably support live market data, Risk calculations, trade capture, reporting, and Profit and Loss. What you need to bring to the table (technically) Excellent C# (.Net) - 6 years A strong track record as a Senior Developer Business knowledge such as FX, Commodities, IR or Equities Strong working knowledge of RDBMS eg SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, Sybase Good understanding of NoSQL database – eg Redis/Memcached Confident and comfortable with threading in a real time data application What you need to bring to the table (personally) You need to be analytical but not to the detriment of your human relationship skills Be able to calmly, and confidently, deal with anything What would be beneficial to bring to the table Genuine experience either within or using a quant library Cloud experience eg Azure/ AWS/ Google Cloud C++, Python, VBA or Go CMake/ Git/ Jira/ Clang Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins/ Team City) DevOps experience Benefits and other good stuff 4 days in the office and one day remote Wellbeing Subsidy, Corporate Gym Membership, Virtual GP, Peppy Health App (Fertility, Menopause and Early Parenthood), Optional Private Medical & Dental Insurance Non-contributory Pension & Discretionary Bonus Life Assurance, Critical Illness & Income Protection Season Ticket Loan & Electric Vehicle Scheme Agents Notes Salary is up to £160k base with a likely bonus of up to 40% Work permits will be considered if required I have placed people into this team – it’s a happy place.
