Qualified Social Worker | Fostering Team | Sutton Council
We are currently looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join a statutory Fostering Team based at Sutton Council.
Join a dedicated and supportive statutory Fostering Team.
Full-time position with hybrid working options available.
Office base: Sutton.
You must have a social work qualification and full SWE registration as well as relevant experience to be considered.
The Role:
As a fostering social worker, your role will involve:
1. Recruiting, assessing, and supporting foster carers.
2. Working closely with children, young people, and foster families to promote stability and well-being.
3. Ensuring compliance with fostering legislation, guidance, and minimum standards.
4. Contributing to placement stability, permanency planning, and the development of care plans.
5. Participating in supervision, training, and development activities.
Sutton Council's Fostering Team plays a vital role in providing safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children who cannot live with their birth families. You will be part of a passionate and professional team working together to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people.
To be considered, it is essential that you have a recognised Social Work qualification (Social Work Degree or Diploma in Social Work) and full Social Work England registration as well as recent or significant relevant experience in a similar role.
*Please note this vacancy is subject to the Pledge Agreement which stipulates:
1. 4 weeks' notice period may be required (at discretion of manager/council).
2. Agency workers must have completed 2 years post AYSE (3 years PQ total) before they can be considered for agency roles within London.
