Job Title: Mechanical Shift 24/7 Engineer Location: Liverpool Street, London Salary: Up to £52,000 - £55,000 per annum Shift Pattern: Continental Shift (Days & Nights, 07:00 - 19:00) Holiday: 20 days holiday (plus Bank Holidays) Overtime: Opportunities for overtime Pension: 3% company pension Uniform: Provided Call-out Requirement: Yes About the Role: We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechanical Shift 24/7 Engineer to join a dynamic facilities management team at our client’s site in Liverpool Street, London. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing all mechanical systems within a fast-paced commercial environment, ensuring all systems run efficiently and reliably. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3-5 years' experience in facilities management and a proven track record in mechanical maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, practical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment (HVAC, plumbing, pumps, motors, and air conditioning units). Respond to breakdowns and work to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Perform regular inspections and ensure all mechanical systems comply with health and safety standards. Work effectively in a shift-based environment, ensuring consistent and reliable service delivery 24/7. Handle any call-out duties as required. Support colleagues and communicate effectively to resolve issues across the site. Essential Skills & Qualifications: Level 2 Mechanical Engineering qualification (or equivalent). 3-5 years' experience in facilities management, with a focus on mechanical systems. Proven experience working in shift-based environments (both days and nights). Ability to work on your own initiative, as well as part of a team. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Flexible to take part in call-out rota as required. Desirable: Previous experience working in high-profile commercial environments. Familiarity with modern building management systems (BMS).
