The Plant Asset Coordinator will be responsible for managing and overseeing the physical assets within the business. The role focuses on the maintenance, tracking, and optimization of plant equipment, machinery, and other infrastructure to ensure operational efficiency and longevity. Our client operate within the Commercial Offsite Fabrication industry, and are an industry leader in UK's & Ireland's Building Services sector. Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm Key Responsibilities Maintain detailed records of all plant assets, including equipment, machinery, tools, and infrastructure. Coordinate routine maintenance and preventive upkeep of plant equipment to minimize downtime. Monitor the condition of assets throughout their life cycle, from acquisition to disposal. Monitor asset-related expenditures and help control costs by optimizing the use of existing equipment. Work with the finance team to ensure that asset-related costs align with the plant's budget. Ensure that plant assets meet safety regulations and compliance standards. Generate reports and data regarding asset performance and status. Coordinate with external vendors for purchasing, repairs, or service of equipment. Work closely with internal & external teams to ensure assets are managed effectively. Provide input on capital expenditure planning and future equipment needs. Essential Criteria 3+ years' experience in an asset coordination role & 1 year within the construction or manufacturing sector. An understanding of construction / manufacturing processes, equipment, & systems. Ability to analyze data related to asset performance, costs & lifecycle to make informed decisions. Previous experience in plant hire management & cost controls Desirable Criteria Knowledge of the ISO 55000 series of standards on asset management Awareness of the quality management and environmental systems and standards Knowledge of current statutory legislation related to planned maintenance and current statutory legislation relating to safe working practices.
