The role Here at Selwood, we are constantly striving to improve our properties, making sure our tenants have amenities that are clean, safe and modern. To help with increased project work, we are looking for an experienced electrician for a fixed term contract of 12 months. You’ll be joining our friendly and experienced Planned Kitchens team, carrying out electrical installations, repairs and maintenance to kitchens across our housing stock, ensuring that work has been carried out effectively, efficiently and to the highest standards. Whether working independently or as part of a team, you’ll be given the autonomy to manage your own workload, and a company vehicle and fuel card to cover your travel to and from site. We also provide regular team training and toolbox talks to make sure you have the opportunity to bolster your skill set and learn new tools and techniques. What we need To do well in this role, you’ll need to have the following skills and experience; Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (Desirable qualifications are 2391 and 2394/5) Detecting and diagnosing faults in electrical appliances and systems Installing, repairing and maintaining kitchen fixtures and systems, and the ability to understand kitchen plans and working drawings Awareness of legal regulations and safety issues. Previous experience carrying out programmed works, maintenance and servicing in domestic or commercial premises Measuring and identifying accurate timescales for works. A full UK driving licence.
