This is an office-based full-time role in our Theale office, with good public transport links nearby.
Our Credit Risk team is key to the success of Westcoast – reviewing and investigating the suitability of our customers prior to issuing credit limits or accepting cash with order transactions. They look for any potential risk to our business with the cash or credit transactions made, covering off any elements of potential fraud. This small team is integral to our day-to-day operations, and they highly value communication, flexibility, and collaboration.
What is the role?
Within this busy team, you will be supporting our Credit Risk Analysts and the Group Credit Risk Manager in all aspects of administration. This is a specialist administrative role and an opportunity to apply your administrative experience and develop fraud prevention and specialist financial skills.
Through analysing reports and providing information to the business, you will support the use of credit limits by existing customers, enabling the sales teams to make the most of all business opportunities available.
The team works closely together, following a methodical process that delivers high levels of service to internal colleagues and external customers.
There will be the opportunity to progress to the role of Credit Risk Analyst if successful in this role, through internal training and external qualifications.
If you join us, this is what your day-to-day will look like:
* Reviewing cash with order and credit applications covering off all elements of potential fraud, analysing the provided information and identifying any exceptions to assist with fraud prevention.
* Managing many existing accounts, performing regular internal reviews ensuring all customers’ accounts remain in line with agreed terms, regularly requesting up-to-date financial information.
* Recording all information on internal systems, ensuring follow-up dates are set.
* Assisting with reporting, general administration, and preparation of any legal action/claims.
* Working effectively under pressure – maintaining exceptional levels of attention to detail.
* Methodical and applies logic to tasks and decision making.
* Ability to adapt to changing situations with confidence and professionalism.
* A confident user of MS Office, including Excel.
* Able to work well within a small team and takes a flexible and collaborative approach to tasks.
* An excellent communicator, internally and externally at all levels.
* Well organised and capable of managing your time and prioritising a busy workload.

* We offer a £24,000 - £26,000 salary package dependent on your skills and experience (37.5 hour week).
