The HR Advisor will proactively deal with all first line queries, advising team members and managers on HR process and policies. Signposting to appropriate policies and escalating issues to the HR Manager when appropriate. ▪ Responsible for HR Administration and data management on HR information system Bamboo HR. ▪ Support the develop and implementation of HR and People strategies: ▪ Form and maintain strong working relationships across the companies. ▪ Assist and advise managers/supervisors on HR policy, procedure and best practice. ▪ Provide all round HR Generalist support on projects and day to day HR advice and support including; administration of payroll adjustments, recruitment and selection, policies/procedures, disciplinary & grievances, salary & contracts, training & development, driving performance reviews and any other HR related projects/issues. Recruitment To manage the end-to-end recruitment. Post job ads, screen and shortlist candidates, produce interview agendas, attend and arrange interviews. Manage relationship with preferred supplier recruitment agencies. Work with hiring managers on job descriptions and pre-interview screening call requirements. Apply for DBS check for new candidates and provide references in a clear format for CAA background screening. Ensure all relevant documentation is received as necessary on or before 1st day of employment. Devise recruitment strategies to recruit hard to fill roles. Onboarding/Induction Support managers and new starters to ensure a positive and inclusive experience. Own the onboarding process for new staters; prep contracts, offer letters and supporting documents, onboard to HR systems, arrange company induction, facilitate probation reviews. Facilitate HR induction from time to time. Leavers Ensure leavers check lists are completed by managers and all HR allocated tasks are complete. Produce resignation acceptance letters. Calculate any outstanding accrued holiday/outstanding payments for leavers. Communicate with IT in good time to ensure all IT offboarding tasks are complete. HR Administration Write and quality check communications with employees using the principles of think, feel & do. Continuously improve all company documents and processes and work with wider teams to facilitate improvements. Produce employment letters for promotions, change in roles, disciplinary process, grievance, absence management, and tailor each communication. Produce employment contracts offer letters and supporting documents using company templates. Keep the HR system Bamboo up to date and organised. Provide administrative support for all employee benefits. Produce accurate reports on key HR metrics such as headcount, gender diversity, new hires, leavers, turnover rate, retention rate, absences & update Org Charts. Record detailed reports for all payroll adjustments for all employees. Coordinate training and HR initiatives. Support HR Manager in performance assessment process every 6 months. Administration of parental leave, Maternity, Paternity, shared parental leave & flexible work requests. HR Information system Maintain the HRIS Bamboo HR, ensuring data integrity and that records are accurate, up-to-date and regular audits take place. Holiday Manage holiday booking systems Who’s off and who’s office. And be a superuser of both systems. Issue part-time holiday allocation & calculate leavers holiday. Absence management Keep accurate records of sick leave and update payroll for allocation of sick pay. Chase up Return to Work Interview records and save all records on Bamboo HR. Advise managers on sick leave policies and absence management process. Employee relations Provide HR support and advice to our managers / supervisors on employee relations (Disciplinary and grievances) and keep up to date with UK employment law. Produce supporting documents for employee relations, investigation meeting notes, invite letters and outcome letters. Act as HR presence and notetaker in investigation meetings and disciplinary hearings. Experience · 2-5 years’ experience as an HR Advisor, experience advising on employee relations, process and policies. · Administrative experience ideally gained in a Human Resources role. · Experience in end-to-end recruitment. · Experience of drafting and responding to routine HR queries and correspondence. · Experience drafting employment contracts using company templates. Essential · Experience in administrating HRIS system, preferably Bamboo HR. · Strong interest and enthusiasm in HR. · Hold a full UK Driving licence ability to work from Sunbury and Colnbrook 5 days per week. · CIPD level 5 qualification. · Experience of leave management systems who’s off and who’s office. Desirable. · Knowledge of local area. · Experience in HR for the logistics/Freight industry. · Experience working within Civil Aviation Authority background checking guidelines.
