We currently have an opportunity for a Casual Crematorium General Assistant to join our dedicated team of funeral professionals at Mendip Crematorium. As a General Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations within the crematorium. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a respectful and dignified environment while providing essential assistance to our staff and families.

The Role:
As a Crematorium General Assistant, you will provide essential support and assistance in various aspects of crematorium operations, this will include.. Prepares chapels for each service considering client needs, including varying religious requirements.
Operate the Cremators as a relief Cremator Technician (training will be provided)
Ensure the safe custody of cremated remains left in the care of the crematorium.
Ensure the highest standards of housekeeping both in and outside the Chapel and ancillary rooms
Conduct witness interments and scattering of the cremated remains
Respectfully transfer encoffined deceased from Funeral Directors to the care of the Crematorium.
About You: You will hold 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment.
You will hold high attention to detail, which is essential.
Be proactive in your approach and hold a willingness to communicate effectively with a range of people, both in-person, over the phone and via email.
Have the ability to successfully multitask and meet multiple deadlines.
Computer literate in addition to experience using Microsoft packages (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
Presentable at all times, acting with professional conduct, and showing empathy.
