We are seeking to appoint an experienced candidate to assist in leading our Maths department.
Thames Park Secondary School, part of Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust, are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic individual to join and lead our growing Maths department. We are seeking an experienced teacher to enhance our student's knowledge of Maths and make a positive impact on our learners. We want inspiring and aspirational teachers to support the growth of the school on our exciting journey.
The successful candidate will have the ability to teach Maths across Key Stages 3 & 4 and be creative, innovative, and committed to raising standards. They will have excellent subject knowledge and will be joining a highly motivated team of superbly collaborative teachers committed to our ACE framework and approach to teaching and learning, which recognises the importance of Adaption, Creativity, and Engagement in all lessons. Your passion for Maths will enhance a curriculum which is progressive and through our unique digital learning, supports the progress of our students. We are actively seeking a teacher with ambition.
The ideal candidate would be someone with the talent to inspire their students whilst having a passion for Maths and understanding the impact your teaching could have on our students, to make learning an enjoyable and inspiring experience. We require someone that has a great understanding of the curriculum and how they can support student development across the age and ability ranges.
The successful candidate will:
1. Be an outstanding classroom practitioner at Key Stages 3 and 4.
2. Support the Head of Department in developing and leading an exciting Maths curriculum which will result in the highest level of pupil progress and attainment, particularly supporting with the implementation of the Ark Maths Mastery curriculum.
3. Carry out quality assurance of Mathematics teaching and learning including marking, feedback and assessment.
4. Possess exceptional subject knowledge of the curriculum, assessment, and pedagogical developments relating to Maths at Key Stages 3 and 4.
5. Have a track record in securing top grades at GCSE.
6. Be expected to play a full part in the extra-curricular activities of this forward-thinking school.
