Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. In the next few years over 150 new Stadler trains will be joining the UK Rail Network which signifies the start of an exciting future for Stadler in the UK. Our current depot locations are in Cardiff, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle and Norwich offering a wide scope of opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in the UK Rail Industry.
We are looking to recruit a UK Head of People Transformation to join our HQ Team based in either our Liverpool or Newcastle regions. Reporting to the People and Culture Director, the role will form part of the HR Leadership team and the post holder will have accountability for a diverse range of areas across HR. Looking after HR projects, Organisational design and development, People analytics, Strategic workforce planning, Talent acquisition and development (including employer branding, early careers and leadership development). You will be responsible for aligning the businesses people, skills and culture with its strategic goals and objectives. Using people data and insights to identify priorities, develop and shape projects and evaluate progress you will be instrumental in shaping and delivering business and people change activity right through to handing into the HR delivery team for operationalising and embedding as business as usual.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities
Personnel:
•Working with the People and Culture Director and the wider UK Management Team, supporting and advising the business accordingly on where the organisation needs to develop and evolve from a cultural standpoint.
•Scoping, designing and where applicable delivering HR and people transformation projects, ensuring a seamless handover into operational HR teams to embed as reimagined BAU ways of working.
•Building credible relationships with senior leaders to persuade and influence in order to ensure they are bought into the vision of People transformation activity.
•Championing programme management discipline into shaping and delivering HR projects from initiation through to closure.
•Coaching and supporting the HR team to assimilate HR or People transformation activity, with a strong ability to bring people on the journey with you.
Organisational:
•Developing a deep understanding of the company's current and future workforce planning requirements, existing capabilities, conducting gap analysis against them and building pipeline Talent and Development plans that ensure current and future workforce needs are met.
•Drive a culture of improving employee experience through the design and delivery of Organisational and Leadership development projects.
•Lead organisational design programmes that drive efficiency and scalability of the organisation.
•Develop and deliver plans to culturally integrate an acquisitive growth business
What are we looking for?
Essential:
•At least 5 years' experience partnering senior managers and C-Suite executives, ideally within a within a heavy-industry, safety critical environment.
•Experience of running strategic culture and change management projects that drive organisation-wide alignment to business goals.
•Proven ability to develop strong working relationships across a multi-site organisation
•Experience in a role where you have had accountability for delivery through self and through others in the people function.
•Strong programme and project management skills with the ability to lead on strategic people changes and effective planning.
•Exceptional influencing and persuading skills to champion the importance of People transformation priorities
•Highly proficient change agent with the experience of leading multi-stakeholder change programmes
•CIPD Level 7 or equivalent work experience is essential
•A strong analytical mindset to derive data driven decision making.
•A ceaseless curiosity for continuous improvement of the employee experience.
•Enthusiastic, team player and a self-starter.
Desirable:
•Exposure to unionised workforces
•Understanding of financial planning, linked to workforce planning
•A strong understanding of HR technology and systems to drive change.
