AXA UK have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Projects Consultant to join our People team! As Senior People Projects Consultant, you'll be responsible for leading the people aspects of large organisational change programmes. Using your deep expertise in organisation design and change methodologies, you'll help identify and articulate the target benefits of the change, and then coach, facilitate, lead and partner with stakeholders to deliver a change roadmap and the agreed benefits. You'll be leading matrix project teams and ensuring that the people aspects of change are effectively managed.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing:
* Partner with Senior People Partners, People Director(s) and business leadership teams to identify and define the target benefits of an organisational change activity and manage the change process from start to finish.
* Run diagnostic assessments, analysing all available data and information to identify the potential areas for improvement.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop transformation roadmaps and project plans that outline the vision, goals and key initiatives necessary to deliver the organisational change.
* Establish and lead matrix project teams from across business functions and People Team Centres of Excellence, ensuring the necessary capabilities are feeding into the change project. Ensure the case for any people capability related investment is included in the overall change business case.
* Provide strategic guidance on all people processes, systems and ways of working that need to be considered in the change, including achieving legal and regulatory compliance.
* Provide support to the People Projects and Transformation Lead to establish and manage effective governance and resourcing of all projects, ensuring progress is tracked and reported and stakeholders are kept engaged and up to date.
* Conduct stakeholder analysis and engagement to ensure the necessary buy-in to the business case for change, ensuring that the necessary engagement happens to build clear understanding and support.
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the development of plans for communication and engagement, training and resourcing that will enable successful outcomes.
* Define how success will be measured and set up processes to monitor and report back on the impact of the change to key stakeholders.
* Stay up to date with external practice and thought leadership in the areas of organisation design and change and bring outside thinking into the people team, building a common level of knowledge and capability across the People Consultants and People Partners.
What you’ll bring:
* Extensive experience in managing and implementing end-to-end organisation change in complex organisations with multiple stakeholders.
* Experience in Change and Communications, proficient in crafting compelling narratives for intricate and disjointed work programs, collaborate with senior leaders, adept at consolidating multiple workstreams and coordinating/ managing all stakeholders.
* Significant knowledge of organisational design and change methodologies with the ability to effectively apply them in a practical setting.
* Demonstrable experience of facilitating target operating model reviews and implementations, including organisation design.
* Deep understanding of the People function’s capabilities, processes, systems and policies.
* Advanced consulting skills, able to identify and articulate the underlying business needs and outcomes and navigate the path to delivery of benefits.
* Strong relationship building and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coach and influence senior stakeholders towards the right outcomes for the business.
* Ability to translate broad, ambiguous, or complex information into a structured and easily understandable format that can be used to communicate the change narrative for all colleagues.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify improvement opportunities and develop data driven strategies.
* Thorough understanding of the legal and regulatory considerations for change with a large, regulated organisation.
* Strong core project management skills with the ability to apply the appropriate tools for the context. Able to operate with a high level of ambiguity.
