The Nursery is well established as a quality provider of children’s day care in the region and we have an exciting opportunity to become part of the management team.
This post is suited to an experienced Manager who is confident, passionate and inspirational. The role of Nursery Manager will be to support all staff in their role within the setting, whilst also dealing with administration tasks such as invoicing, budget control and use of the funding portal. You should have the ability to manage and lead your staff team with a focused and strong leadership style. You should also be able to motivate, lead and inspire the staff team.
Overall purpose of the Job
To effectively manage the day-to-day and financial operations of the nursery
To oversee the operations of the setting to a high standard of care and education to children in line with the Ethos, Core values, policies and procedures for the nursery.
To lead, manage and develop a staff team.
To provide a clean and well-maintained environment conducive with the ethos and values as well as health and safety standards of the Nursery.
To ensure the curriculum is promoted and delivered throughout the setting.
To be part of the wider management team of the company.
Qualities and Experience:
We are looking for a person who is qualified to a level 3 in childcare with at least three year’s post-qualification experience within a Nursery setting. Higher qualifications would be an advantage. A comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the running of a Nursery must be shown. The ability to use computerised systems is essential. Previous management experience preferred, but at least two years supervisory experience is required. You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic with a good sense of humour.
We are also looking for a person who is able to work on his or her own initiative within the Nursery setting.
You should also:

Hours:
40 hours per week based between 7:30am-6:00pm on a rotating shift basis.
Salary:
Subject to experience and qualification.
