Job Title: Finance Assistant Location: Melton Mowbray. Salary: up to £25,000 salary for the right candidate Hours: 9:00 Am To 5:00 Pm Monday To Friday (37.5 hours per week) This is a 12 month maternity cover role for a Financial assistant to support all financial operations within. The role will support a number of key areas including purchase ledger, sales ledger, cash flow forecasting and monthly management reporting. MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES Purchase invoices, and reconciling supplier statements. Ensuring purchase invoices are coded to the correct nominal, department code and correct VAT treatment Weekly bank reconciliation on Sage and daily cash reconciliations Entering customer receipts on to Sage and following up on under payments Issuing monthly customer statements Assist in cash flow forecasting Assisting with month end payroll, including checking clocking in reports and maintaining payroll analysis Assisting with month end journals and month end reporting Collaborate closely with the wider Finance Team as well as non finance departments to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations. SKILLS REQUIRED Ø Minimum of 2 years financial experience in a similar role. Ø Proficiency in financial software, including Sage 50 Ø Excellent Microsoft Excel Ø Good time management Ø Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business. QUALIFICATIONS AAT Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or Bookkeeping would be favourable
