Job Title: Purchasing and Stock Controller
alary: £24,000 - £29,000 + Annual Bonus
Location: Royston Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday-Thursday 09:00-17:00, Friday 09:00-16:00 (36.5 hour week)
About the Role:
Are you an organised, detail-focused individual with a passion for stock management and procurement? We are looking for a Purchasing/Stock Controller to join our clients dynamic team! This is a key role where you’ll be an integral part of the operation, ensuring stock levels align with sales demands while maintaining excellent supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Raising and managing purchase orders
Booking deliveries into stock and reconciling invoices with purchase orders
Monitoring stock levels and aligning with sales requirements
Assisting the sales team with stock clearance
Communicating supply issues and back orders with the sales team
Liaising with suppliers regarding outstanding orders, delivery dates, and back orders
Answering calls from suppliers and hauliers to coordinate delivery schedules What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Confidence using IT systems
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
A proactive and adaptable approach to work, willing to take on new challenges
A keen eye for detail, especially when working with numbers
Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and pressure
