Job Description
* Prepare year end statutory accounting packs and supporting documentation (e.g. tax computations) within defined audit timescales.* Prepare annual RDEC information.* Support to the Financial Controller with company treasury activities (Cashflow preparation)* Assist in the preparation of the monthly Board pack and respond to investor queries as required.* Provide input and expertise to the preparation, submission and monitoring of grants. Milestones * Audit packs prepared and submitted to auditors* Audit requests answered* Tax information to tax advisors & subsequent queries answered* RDEC information to tax advisors* Accurate weekly cashflows & scorecards* Accurate & timely management accounts and board reports
The Successful Applicant
A successful Statutory Accountant should have:
3. A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
4. Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
5. Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite.
6. Strong knowledge of statutory accounting principles and tax laws.
7. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
8. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
