About the role
We are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic NPD Manager to join the Creed Global Marketing Team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.. The ideal candidate will have a passion for luxury beauty products and an excellent working knowledge of the processes needed to bring innovative products to life.
This role is a fantastic opportunity combining market/trend-driven insights, creativity and technical rigour. Reporting to Head of New Product Development, the NPD Manager will play a pivotal role in the co-ordination of company-wide EDP launches but also have full responsibility for independent projects.
Key responsibilities
* Research strategies for future product development looking at past product performance and market insights
* Take full ownership for seasonal gifting, accessories & sundries NPD projects
* Create and manage the critical path for each assigned project, ensuring timings are realistic and achievable and that each project meets key dates and financial deliverables. Inform the Head of NPD of any potential issues that could impact the launch and take steps to mitigate risk.
* Co-ordinate design, prototyping and packaging approvals for EDP launches
* Have experience of on-line press passes and be confident to manage these alongside Packaging Technologist
* Maintain well organised records and library of gold seal standards for each new product
* Development of Sell In Presentations and samples for Commercial teams
* Management of artwork approvals with wider team
* Support the Marketing Team with other project based activities as required
Skills/Background desired
* Degree or equivalent
* 5 years in the Beauty industry in end to end NPD Management roles including an operational skillset
* Highly pro-active and organised
* Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills
* Ability to produce critical paths in Excel or on-line portal eg Team Gannt and develop different scenarios for launch dates
* Confident project manager, with a clear sense of timescales, urgency and ability to confidently manage risk
* An ability to persuade and motivate a wide range of people, both internally and externally
* Flexible style to adapt to changing circumstances
* Ability to produce clear written instructions, communications and copywriting skills
* Collaborative working style to partner across all functions of the business. In particular the Operations teams within our French factory, Marketing and Commercial teams
* Logical, methodical, analytical and with a good eye for detail
* Experience of working directly with external stakeholders eg design agencies and packaging suppliers
* Knowledge of working within a Stagegate process preferred but not essential
Location
This role is hybrid, split between working from home and working in the London head office. (in EC1). Occasional travel to France
