The Post Holder Is Required To Lead, in conjunction with the Assistant Director of Finance – Strategic Finance, the financial planning, management and reporting support function, ensuring and maintaining high professional standards particularly in the provision of good quality financial advice and information to Trust managers and clinicians. Coordinate the provision of all financial information, including income and expenditure, as well as forecasting, providing timely and accurate information and advice to facilitate the effective monitoring and management of the Trust’s financial position and to support the decision making process. Be the lead link between the divisions and Corporate Finance in the preparation and completion of statutory/NHS Foundation Trust accounts, costing and financial returns ensuring their accuracy, consistency and timeliness. Provide professional finance support and advice to divisions, with particular reference to the Trust’s Financial Accountability Framework, and Trust’s Transformation and Sustainability programme Engage with the Assistant Director of Finance and other senior members of the finance team to refine the financial reporting process and products used both internal and external to the Trust. Engage with other senior finance colleagues to ensure the continued improvement and development of a first-class Strategic Finance function.
