Overall Objective : The Assistant Academy Analyst will provide comprehensive analysis support to the Crewe Alexandra Academy. This role will focus on gathering and delivering technical and tactical insights, as well as collaborating with various departments to enhance player development. Utilising industry-standard hardware and software, you will support coaching staff, players, and the performance analysis department by delivering high-quality analysis and reporting. Main Duties : Film, code, and analyse Academy games to the required standard (in line with academy KPIs). Fulfil requests from the Lead Academy Analyst to support the Performance Analysis Department. Assist in managing and training volunteers who help film and code Academy games. Collaborate with multiple departments, including Coaches, Education, Sport Science, and Player Care/Welfare. Organise and coordinate the collection & distribution of match footage for the U9-16 age groups. Conduct detailed opposition analysis, coding, and video editing to provide actionable insights for coaching staff and players. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of performance profiles through databasing and statistical reporting. Develop and manage best practice databases that align with the Academy P hilosophy. Deliver regular analysis sessions to Youth Development Phase (YDP) age groups, providing insights on performance and development. Attend and contribute to weekly department meetings. Ensure safeguarding responsibilities are met and report any concerns as necessary. Complete all mandatory training, including internal club training on Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion. About The Candidate Essential Requirements: • BSc in Sports Science, Sports Performance Analysis, or a related field. • Experience in a performance analysis role or within a performance analysis capacity. • Proficiency in various performance analysis software such as Hudl Sportscode, Studio, Wyscout, Veo, and Microsoft Office. • Strong football knowledge and ability to apply this to the Academy philosophy, facilitating player development. • Excellent time management and organisational skills. • Team player with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently. • Full driving licence and access to a car.
